KERACRAFT - Empowering Artisans, Creating Legacy

About Us

KERACRAFT was conceived through a deeply moving journey, one that began when a travel-spirited couple with a profound appreciation for handcrafted artistry encountered a humble artisan family near the sacred Kodungallur temple. A woman, accompanied by her child, was selling beautifully woven straw hats, carry bags, and fine-crafted items. These pieces, though modestly priced, bore the unmistakable mark of skill, heritage, and care.

Engaging with her revealed a poignant reality, the harsh truth of Kerala’s artisan communities, where talent thrives but opportunity falters. Their struggles, rooted in poverty and the lack of a viable market for their work, painted a sobering picture of fading traditions and vulnerable livelihoods.

This encounter served as a catalyst. What followed was a heartfelt exploration across the villages of Kerala, uncovering more such stories of hands that create beauty, yet remain unseen and unheard. Out of this eye-opening experience, KERACRAFT was born.

KERACRAFT is not merely a brand: it is a movement, a mission to revive, preserve, and empower. We collaborate with artisan communities across Kerala to co-create timeless, handcrafted products that marry tradition with contemporary sensibilities.

At its heart, KERACRAFT seeks to restore dignity, ensure fair livelihoods, and give voice to the creators behind every piece. Each product tells a story of culture, resilience, and passion, carrying forward the soul of Kerala’s artistic legacy into modern homes.

By choosing KERACRAFT, you become a part of this journey, supporting not just a craft, but a community, a culture, and a cause worth preserving.

At KERACRAFT, we are deeply moved by the silent strength and soulful artistry of Kerala’s traditional craftsmen, keepers of a rich legacy passed down through generations, yet too often left unrecognized and unsupported.

Born from a heartfelt commitment to honour their spirit, KERACRAFT is not merely a brand but a movement to restore dignity, ensure fair livelihoods, and celebrate the enduring beauty of handmade heritage. We walk hand in hand with artisan communities, offering them not only a platform but also partnerships, through design collaboration, fair remuneration, skill development, and market access.

Every creation tells a story of resilience, culture, and human touch. By choosing KERACRAFT, you become part of this journey, one that uplifts lives, preserves tradition, and brings the soul of Kerala’s artisans into the global spotlight.
